Leather Font

The hilarious attempt to name a font gave rise to Leather Font. At first, we intended to call it Black Leather (blackletter..blackleather), but as we got closer to completion, we began to appreciate its effort to present a believable confluence between two quite distinct type groups.

Unfortunately for the art, due to both technological restrictions and the conflict that broke out a few years later, this idea of convergence didn’t get much further back then. We hope that in these contemporary times of varied design influences, this resurgence of blackletter will inspire people to view the style in a different way.
